BIG Ginger Nut Biscuits....

Good afternoon girlie's, a bit of a different post today well 2 posts actually....I love to bake! and cook! so i thought why not share my recipes with you lovely lot. I know it wont be everybodys choice of post but if you like a bit of baking these are deeeeelicious recipes.....and very easy to do!

Me and Freddie made these Ginger Nut biscuits last week. As well as Mcvities milk chocolate Digestives (you cant beat Mcvities!) these are our favourites...i haven't got step by step pictures on this one. This is the recipe.

It does make 30 small ones but as you can see i prefer to do them bigger! so i get about 15.

INGREDIENTS:
*350G/12OZ FLOUR
*PINCH OF SALT
*200G/7OZ CASTER SUGAR
*1 TBSP GROUND GINGER
*1 TBSP BICARBONATE OF SODA
*125G/4.5 OZ BUTTER,PLUS EXTRA FOR GREASING
*75G/2 3/4 OZ OF GOLDEN SYRUP
*1 EGG,BEATEN

Pre heat the oven to 160 degrees/325 Fahrenheit/Gas mark 3, then lightly grease several baking trays.

Sift the flour, salt, sugar, ginger and bicarbonate of soda into a large mixing bowl.

Heat the butter and golden syrup in a saucepan over a very low heat until the butter as melted.Remove the pan from the heat and leave to cool slightly, then pour the contents onto the dry ingredients.

Add the egg and mix thoroughly to form a dough. Using a teaspoon i spoon fairly big spoonfuls on to the greased baking trays(roughly 15), spaced well apart and flatten slightly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, then carefully transfer to a cooling rack.

They go down well with a good cup of English tea!.....and they don't last very long in our house either!

Freddie loves his own baking!

                                                                With love Tara...xxx
